REDDING, DAVID A., butcher, residence Camp Point; is the son of James and Fanny Redding, of Hamilton county, Ohio, where he was born, Feb. 14, 1845. He lived there until he was twelve years old. His father having died four years before, his mother removed to Stark county, Ill., and afterward to Camp Point, Adams county, where she married A. B. Kirkpatrick in 1864. When the last call for three months men was made, Mr. Redding enlisted in Co. B, 137th Ill. Inf., served four months, and was honorably discharged. He married Alice Boyer, Nov. 22, 1874. She was born in Schuyler county, Ill., Sept, 2, 1857. He has been in the butchering business ever since he came out of the army; before that was farming. He owns a house and lot in village of Camp Point, where he has lived for nine years.
