DAVID L. HART, ex-Sheriff of Warrick County, is the fourth born in a family of ten children of William and Sarah (Farmer) Hart. In 1865 he purchased 180 acres half a mile north of Boonville, upon which he moved and remained until 1870. He was then elected to the office of County Sheriff, and two years later was re-elected, serving in all four years. In August, 1875, he moved to his present place of residence, and is now recognized as one of the county’s best and most successful farmers. On the 20th of April, 1875, he wedded Theresa F. Swint, by whom he is the father of four children, named William E., R. E., Claude A., and Ruth.
