DAVID MARTIN is a native of Louisville and was born June 9, 1849; was married to Miss Anna Speck, May 18, 1875, and there have been born to him four children, all of whom died in infancy. David Martin is a son of Matthias Martin, who removed from Pennsylvania many years ago to Louisville, and died when our subject was an infant. Since eight years of age the latter has made his own way in the world. His wife was also born in Louisville, and is a daughter of David and Frances Speck, both born in Germany. Mr. Martin is a thrifty farmer and a highly respected citizen.
