GEORGE W. ROBERTS, Jr., the youngest son of G. W. Roberts, Sr., was born at Saw-Mill run, in 1846, where he was reared. He received his education at the Baptist University of Lewisburg, and is a graduate of Iron City Commercial College. Since 1863 he has been engaged as general superintendent of the loading and shipping of the coal for Horner & Roberts. In 1868 he married Anna M., daughter of Dr. Jesse Penney, of Elizabeth, and he has two sons, George P. and Jesse G. He is a member in good standing of the F. & A. M., K. of P., O. U. A. M., and several other societies; also holds the office of burgess of the borough of Elizabeth.
