A vintage postcard view of the Overland Stage operated by Fairbanks-Valdez Winter Stage, Valdez, Alaska. As noted by the sign on the side of the stage, it also carried the mail. A stage constructed as a sleigh made travel possible in what would otherwise be near impossible travel conditions. This vintage postcard view is from about 1910.
