Kansas Sod House Vintage Postcard
A vintage postcard of a Sod House (sometimes called a "soddie") on the Kansas prairie. This type of housing was used in prairie regions where there was little wood or other building materials available. This postcard view is from the early 1900's.
If you would to know more about what it was like to live on the prairie and build and live in a sod house, visit this article on the Smithsonian Institute website: Building and Living in a Sod House
